The WebMail provided by the school is kinda small, say, 50 MB, however you need way more than that as you will receive e-mails from the Student Development Service, Student Union, your teacher and us; you may also communicate with each other using e-mail, sending them powerpoints or documents when doing projects. Once you reach the 50 MB quota, though you will not be charged like the ISPs do in HK, you will not receive any e-mail anymore and may miss some important mails from the school, your teacher or us.

Using the Forwarding command of the WebMail system can save you from missing any important message, you can choose forwarding the mails from your student e-mail to any of your e-mail address, like Yahoo! or G-Mail. These two companies provide plenty of storage place and have a better system to manage the e-mail comparing with the one of the school.

How to forward your e-mail?

In the "CityU Email Services" front page, click "Set up Email Forwarding", skim the caution and blah, blah, blah, click on the hyperlink below; Login to the system, choose from the 3 options, type your e-mail address and click "Apply" below. It's done. You may now quit your browser.
